Southwestern University Pirates volleyball sophomore Lauren Crabtree was named the SCAC Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 14-20. 

Crabtree showcased the full extent of her all-around game, averaging a triple-double through four matches with 10.0 kills, 15.25 digs, and 25.5 assists per match, accomplishing the feat twice in wins over Dallas in Schreiner. 

She also posted seven block assists and six service aces while hitting .243 for the week, leading the Pirates to a 3-1 record. 

Crabtree is one of 22 players in Division III to post multiple triple-doubles this season and the only player in the SCAC to reach that mark this season. 

For the season, Crabtree is averaging 2.08 kills, 2.71 digs, and 3.55 assists per set. The Pirates are currently third in the SCAC with a 9-5 conference record and are 16-10 overall this season. Southwestern will play on the road against the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor tomorrow at 6:00 p.m.

Southwestern resumes conference play this weekend with four matches, facing St. Thomas and Austin College on Saturday at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., and JWU (Denver) and No. 8 Trinity University at 4 p.m.
