Mitchell named SCAC Offensive Player of the Week

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - After leading Southwestern offensively to three SCAC wins this weekend including defeating #3 Trinity in an epic five-set come from behind win. 

A senior outside hitter from Roseville, Calif. Mitchell led the Pirates averaging nearly 3.5 kills per set with a .382 attack percentage. She also added 10 service aces and six blocks on the weekend.

With three wins this past weekend Southwestern sits at 22-3 overall and 8-2 in the conference and has clinched a bid to the SCAC postseason tournament. They close regular season conference play in Shreveport, LA this weekend. They open with #2 Colorado College and Dallas Saturday before taking on Centenary and Austin College Sunday.
