LEXINGTON, Ky. – After leading the Pirates to a 4-0 weekend and earning conference player of the week, senior outside hitter Kaitlyn Foster added another acknowledgement to her belt by being named the AVCA National Player of the Week. 

Foster averaged 4.77 kills per set with an astonishing .415 attack percentage. In 142 attempts Foster had just three errors with 62 kills in 13 sets. She averaged 4.96 points per game this week and 4.69 digs per game while also leading the Pirates in digs with 61.

Southwestern, currently ranked #17 in the nation, are 19-2 on the year and 9-1 in SCAC action. They take their talents to California this weekend as they face #10 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Chapman Friday before facing Occidental and Pomona-Pitzer Saturday.
