SEGUIN, Texas – With wins over Texas Lutheran and Schreiner on Saturday afternoon Southwestern improves to 11-1 on the year and 3-0 in the SCAC.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Southwestern's high-powered offense was challenged against Texas Lutheran in the first match of the day. The Pirates gutted out three straight wins 25-22, 25-19, 26-24.
- The Pirates shot out of the gate in the first set against Schreiner, hitting .385 for a 25-11 win and took the second set 25-17.
- Schreiner stole the third set to force a fourth where the Pirates returned true to form and won 25-15.
STATISTICAL STANDOUTS
- Abbie Robb: 26 kills, .300 attack percentage, five blocks
- Olivia Drummond: 17 kills, .250 attack percentage, four blocks
