SEGUIN, Texas – SU dropped the first set but rallied back with three big wins to defeat Trinity University 3-1 in their SCAC opener Friday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Southwestern did not post more than four attack errors in a set and never hit below .200 but still dropped the first set 25-20.
- The Pirates kicked everything up a notch in the second set, hitting .375 and holding TU to .143 to win 25-19.
- With the momentum, SU maintained a lead in the final two sets to win 25-17 and 25-19.

UP NEXT
Southwestern improves to 9-1 overall and 1-0 in the SCAC while Trinity falls to 7-5 on the year and 0-1 in conference. The Pirates return to the court Saturday to face Texas Lutheran at 12:30 and Schreiner at 3 pm.
