SHERMAN, Texas - Southwestern rallied back after dropping the opening sets but were beaten in the fifth set to drop their first match of the season, 3-2, to East Texas Baptist University.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Pirates got off to a slow start, falling 25-17, 25-19 in the first two sets
- Southwestern tied it up with back to back 25-20 set wins to force a fifth set
- Match five was tight the entire way until ETBU took a slight two point lead 14-12 and were able to hold off the Pirates to win 15-13.
STATISTICAL STANDOUTS
