GEORGETOWN, Texas – Southwestern volleyball swept Illinois Wesleyan 3-0 in a thrilling match with both teams performing reminiscent of postseason form.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- IWU came out swinging hard and took an early lead, but the Pirates made huge hustle plays to eventually take the lead 19-18 before closing out the set 27-25.
- Set two was tight wire to wire but IWU was able to get a little breathing room 19-16. The Pirates rallied back to lead 23-22 and win 25-22.
- Southwestern outlasted the Titans through long rallies to take the third and final set 25-21.
