CHANDLER LENTZ OF SOUTHWESTERN UNIVERSITY, a junior libero and defensive specialist from Forney, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Volleyball Co-Defensive Player-of-the-Week for matches played from Monday, September 23 through Sunday, September 29.

Lentz was sensational for the Pirates this weekend. In four matches, 13 sets, she recorded a team high 78 digs, averaging six per set. She posted 11 assists and two aces while committing just two receiving errors the entire weekend. She had a huge game against nationally-ranked Colorado College, tallying 31 digs and no receiving errors and came back to lead her team defensively to three SCAC wins over the weekend.

The Pirates went 3-1 in SCAC Conference action this weekend to improve to 13-6 on the year and 5-2 in SCAC play. Southwestern hits the road for a single, non-conference match against the University of Texas Dallas on Thursday night in Richardson, Texas. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
