Women's Swim and Dive Places Four on CSC Academic All-District List

GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern University Women's Swimming and Diving received four College Sports Communicators Academic All-District awards this week. One diver, sophomore Cidette Rice, and three swimmers, senior Jessica Karli, senior Maysen Hauck, and junior Emma Williams were the four members of the team who earned the title of Academic All-District for their performance in the pool and in the classroom. 

"The 2023-24 Academic All-District® Men's Swimming & Diving teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's swimming & diving honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA." 

To qualify for CSC Academic All-District an athlete must have these qualifications:


Academic standing:

  • Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
  • Institutions may only nominate four athletes for CSC Academic All-District Awards in Women's Swimming and Diving.

Academic eligibility:

  • An undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale).
  • The cumulative grade point average may not be rounded up to 3.50.

Athletic eligibility:

  • M/W Swimming & Diving: Eligible individuals need to compete in four competitions OR finish top eight at a conference meet.
