The Pirates Top The Roos In Dual Meet

GEORGETOWN, TEXAS- The Women's swimming team traveled to Sherman, Texas to take on the the Austin College Roos for their third match of the season. 

In this dual meet, the women jumped out to an early lead by placing first in the 400 yard medley. Delaney Anthony, Jackie Vargas, Ella Bonvillian, and Ellie Samples put together a fast relay with a time of 4:16.32. Delaney Alt won the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 11:55.07 and Ella Bonvillian won the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:06.32. Sophomore Kyle Allemeier took first in the 50 yard backstroke in a time of 31.65. Ella Bonvillian decisively won the 100 yard freestyle in 57:18 and Elizabeth Krajca won the 50 yard freestyle in 26.72. Jackie Vargas won the 100 yard breaststroke in 1:15.04. Elaine Bentley walked away with the win in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:47.87. Delaney Alt won the 50 yard butterfly in 29.57, and the Pirates finished off the meet with a win in the 200 yard freestyle relay. Ellie Samples, Emma Williams, Delaney Anthony, and Elizabeth Krajca pieced together a fast relay to win in a time of 1:46.36. 

The Pirates won the dual meet with 173 points. Austin College women had 73.

The Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving teams will participate in the Tiger Invite starting November 17th, a three-day meet at Alamo Heights HS Natatorium.
