Pirates Earn CSCAA Scholar All-America Honors

GEORGETOWN – The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) released the Scholar All-America teams for the fall of 2017, with more than 680 collegiate swimming and diving programs earning the honor, including the Southwestern men's and women's swimminh team.

The Pirates posted the top women's GPA in the SCAC with a 3.53, while the men's team was also honored after recording a 3.18.

For a team to be considered, it must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as defined by the institution. The team grade point average includes all eligible varsity student-athletes.

Founded in 1922, the CSCAA is the nation's oldest professional organization of college coaches. Its mission is to serve and provide leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming and diving at the collegiate level.
