Southwestern sits in third after day two of SCAC Championships

LEWISVILLE, Texas – The Southwestern University women's swimming & diving team sits in third place after day two of competition at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships.

The Pirates have tallied 190 points. Trinity is in the lead with 317 points, while Colorado College holds down second place with 269 points.

Southwestern was paced by a runner-up finish in the 200-meter freestyle relay. The foursome of Cara Chin, Madison Doty, Erika Dubros and Marisa McCormack finished with a time of 1:39.82.

Natalie Lesnick also made her way to the podium after logging a third-place finish in the 200-meter individual medley with a mark of 2:12.01.

Meanwhile, Cara Chin finished fourth in the 50-meter freestyle and Alexandra Morris posted a sixth-place performance in the 500-meter freestyle.

Day three of competition will start at 10:30 a.m. Friday.
