Southwestern named SCAC Men's Swimming Coaching Staff of the Year

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - For the third consecutive season, Southwestern University has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Swimming & Diving Coaching Staff of the Year.

Southwestern Head Coach Jon Duncan led the Pirates to a runner-up finish at the 2017 SCAC Championships. The squad finished runner-up to Trinity at this year's conference meet, falling short by 5.5 points in the closest finish in the 19-year history of the event.

Duncan, who has been named the league's coach of the year in four of the past five seasons, is aided by assistant coach Kelly Heyde, who recently completed her second campaign with the program.

Additionally, Duncan relied on the help of David Houck, diving coach, and volunteer assistants Jason Chapman and Dr. Scott McLean.
