Pirates Break 6 School Records and Tommy Frashier Makes History

Rockwall, Texas – The Southwestern University Men's swimming team is having a strong performance at the SCAC championships, breaking 6 records last night. Tommy Frashier's 1st place finish in the 500 Freestyle with a time of 4:39.97 is a school record and the first time in 14 years that a non-Trinity swimmer has won this event. Ty Lapinski came in with his personal best time of 4:52.09.

 

Simon Gersib broke a school record with his performance in the 200 Individual Medley. Simon placed 2nd with a time of 1:57.44. Dylan Johnson also broke a school record and had a personal best time of 20.88 in the 50 Freestyle.

 

The relay team for the Pirates has been strong all year and was again, breaking a school record in the 400 Medley Relay with a time of 3:30.95 and placing 4th.

The team made up of Tommy Frashier, Kyler Wood, Simon Gersib, and Dylan Johnson has done an amazing job all year.
