Pirates Swim To Another Victory

Abilene, Texas – The Southwestern Men's Swimming Team kept to its winning ways on Friday November 2nd 2012 as the beat McMurry State 116-86. The Pirates again showed their strength as the 400 Medley Relay team again came in first. The team made up of Tommy Frashier, Kyler Wood, Simon Girseb, and Dylan Johnson finished with a time of 3:39.48

Kyler Wood, who last week broke the school record for the 200 Breaststroke showed that there is always room for improvement and broke his own record with a time of 2:14.09

Ty Lapiniski stayed strong coming in first in the 500 Freestyle 4:59.01 and also the 1000 Freestyle 10:15.68. Not to be outdone Tommy Frashier also placed first in two events the 200 Freestyle with a time of 1:50.15 and the 200 Backstroke with a time of 2:03.74
 
Dylan Johnson aided in the Pirate victory with a first place finish in the 50 Freestyle with a time of 22.27. Thomas Harland placed first in the 100 Freestyle with a 51.23 time and Simon Gersib placed first in the 200 Individual Medley with a time of 2:01.42
 

The Pirates will continue with their next match against UT Permain Basin in Midland, TX.
