Wood Announced as SCAC Swimmer-of-the-Week

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Kyler Wood, a sophomore from Georgetown, Texas has been selected the SCAC Men's Swimmer-of-the-Week for all meets through Sunday, October 28.

After taking 16 months off from swimming, Wood was instrumental in Southwestern's first ever victory against Trinity. Wood's 50 breast split was 26.53 in the school record 200 medley relay.

He also won and broke two school records in the 100 & 200 breast with a time of 1:00.57 & 2:15.70.

The Southwestern men kicked off the season with a 152-138 win over Trinity, the first time the Pirates have accomplished the feat. They return to the pool on November 2, taking on NCAA Division II McMurry University in Abilene, Texas.
