Gonzalez ran a time of 30:35.41 at the Texas DIII XC Championships.
High School
Maria earned varsity letters in volleyball, basketball, powerlifiting, and track while competing for the Cougars. Maria was named First Team All-Defense in volleyball and was a two time Academic All-District selection. She also finished third in the state for power lifting her junior year and was the state powerlifiting champion her senior year.
Personal
Maria is the daughter of Clicerio and Maria and has three sisters, Diana, Lisa, and Jazmine. Maria is a spanish major with an education minor at SU.
