GEORGETOWN, TEXAS- Dallas Baptist University hosted the DBU Old Glory Gallup XC Meet in Grand Prairie, TX on Saturday, Oct 7, 2023. This multi-regional meet is an opportunity for collegiate cross-country teams to compete among a group of regionally diverse teams. The women raced against 32 other teams for the 5k distance. 

"The women raced outstanding on Saturday. Again our strength was in our groups. We had 3 or 4 groups of women finishing very close to each other which helps us out in the hard moments of races and in the results too. They were able to put into action everything we've been working on in training over the last month like rhythm, poise, and their kick among other things. And they were rewarded with big XC PRs. We've shown ourselves that we can run fast, now we have to normalize and replicate those efforts and add in the focus on simply racing and beating people," said Head Coach Joe Sponsel.

The Women placed 23rd overall. Every single member of the women's team set a PR at the DBU meet, ranging from 30 seconds to 4 and a half minutes for the 5k distance.
