GEORGETOWN, Texas — Southwestern men's won a pair of three-set singles matches and a rough doubles performance to earn a 9-0 shutout over the Ozarks Eagles.

Drew Shuvalov and Anton Borovik earned an 8-2 victory over TJ Saniseng and Scott Stewarts in No. 1 doubles. Hunter Bajoit and Vesko Lekovic defeated Hikaru Yamaya and Nico Castells 8-1 in No. 2 doubles. Alexander Joseph and Steven Tibbetts completed the doubles sweep with an 8-4 victory over Dallas Elmore and Aaron Gambrell.

"Our doubles was not overly impressive, but we found a way to get the three points going into singles," head coach Billy Porter said.

Vesko Lekovic won a hard-fought, three-set match over Hikaru Yamaya, defeating him 6-4, 4-6, 11-9 in no. 1 singles. Carlos Esteban took a 6-2, 6-0 win, filling in at the no. 2 spot. Anton Borovik bested TJ Saniseng in three sets, 2-6, 6-2, 10-4. Max Pearson, Millan Fernandes, and Nicolas Guarin all picked up two-set wins for the Pirates.

"Millan got into the singles action tonight and impressed with the way he competed," Porter said. "Carlos chalked up a nice win at the 2 spot playing sound tennis again as he has all season for us in singles."

Southwestern remains undefeated at 7-0 with the win. The Pirates will host Howard Payne on Friday, March 26, then travel to play Austin College and Tyler Junior College on Saturday, March 27.
