Men's Golf Finishes Sixth at John Bohmann Memorial Invitational

SEGUIN, Texas — Southwestern men's golf scored a 299 in the third and final round to score 880, finishing sixth at the John Bohmann Memorial Invitational. 

Southwestern's first team was paced by Nicholas Hoisington and Thomas Kuznar, who dropped from 12th and 14th into a tie for 17th with a score of 219. Christian Rodriguez recovered from his second-round dropoff to shoot a 73 and move up to 20th. 

Matthew Peesker stayed steady, shooting 75, 74, 74 to finish with a three-round score of 223 and finish tied for 26th. Logan Pullin scored a 230 to tie for 43rd. 

Trinity University won the event with an 855, paced by Zac Bunder's second-place score of 210. Dallas (868, second), Texas Lutheran (869, third), Our Lady of the Lake (B) (872, fourth), Our Lady of the Lake (875, fifth) all finished ahead of Southwestern. 

Colin O'Hern made the most significant leap on the final day, moving up from 18th into the top 10 with a tie for eighth at 215 to lead Southwestern's second team. Bryce Stiemert scored a 218 to tie for 15th. Austin Kelley shot a 221 to tie for 22nd. Ian Cameron finished 56th with a score of 246. 

Southwestern men's golf will compete in the Alamo Classic on Monday, Oct. 11, and Tuesday, Oct. 12.
