GEORGETOWN, Texas – Brianna Timourian blew away the field en route to an individual championship at Tuesday night's Southwestern Opener at San Gabriel Park.

The sophomore navigated the three-mile circuit in 19:28.01, which was over one minute faster than the next competitor.

Sophie Elias followed Timourian for the Pirates with a third-place finish. Elias, a sophomore from Katy, crossed the line in 22:01.11.

Meanwhile, Concordia Texas was crowned the team champions, as the Tornados earned three top-5 finishes.

Southwestern will resume action on Saturday, Sept. 12, at the Our Lady of the Lake Invitational, which will take place at Windcrest Golf Club in Windcrest.
