Lilly Duarte Breaks Southwestern University 6k Record

San Antonio, Texas – Lilly Duarte broke The Southwestern University cross country record for a 6k race with a time of 22:57 running at a pace of 6:09 today at the University of Incarnate Word Cross Country Invitational. Lilly came in 4th overall and 1st between all D III participants.

The Women's Cross Country team as a whole placed 7th out of 11 tallying 167 Points.

The men also participated in this event with an 8k race. Sam Martinez, who has been recognized as the SCAC Runner of The Week for the week of September 22nd came in 23rd running a 28:09 running a 5:40 pace.

The Pirates next meet is October 13th vs. Concordia University Cross Country Invitational at Cedar Park High School, Cedar Park, Texas.
