Pirates Off to a Hot Start on a Hot Day

The Pirate cross country team started their season in Sewanee, TN at the Sewanee invitational on a day that temperatures near 90 at start time.  Lilly Duarte was the leader for the women with a time of 24:37.92.  The Pirates finished in 6th place with a total 211 points.  That was good enough for 4th place among Division III competitors.  Other Pirate times included:  Nancy Juarez-25:40.72, Chistina Hadly-26:59.34; Kara Koinis-26:59.98, Krysten Budde-28:26.29, Laura Wooden-29:19.67, Allie Klein-29:49.09, Sarah Puffer- 30:51.80, Meg Greenfield-31:19.59, and Kayte Forester-31:55.61.

The Pirates will next compete in Abilene, TX at the Texas DIII Cross Country Championships.
