WOMEN CLOSE OUT REGULAR SEASON AT CONCORDIA INVITATION

CEDAR PARK, Texas - The Southwestern women's cross country team ended their regular season at the Concordia Invitational over the weekend. The Pirates ended in 6th place out of 12 teams at the tune up event.

First-year Lilly Duarte lit up the field, coming in 18th place overall and was the first Division III finisher in a time of 19:20, a personal best time. Christina Hadly finished in 35th place in a time of 20:36.

Kara Koinis and Ursula James also posted personal bests with Koinis coming in 43rd at 20:52 and James in 53rd at 21:23.

Four other runners for Southwestern also had personal best runs at the meet. Brandi Martin came in at 21:38, Laura Wooden at 21:49, Meg Greenfield at 23:11, Sarah Puffer at 24:19 and Michelle Widmann at 27:22.

Also competing for the Pirates were Amanda Sayer in a time of 23:15, Lili McEntire at 24:05, Kelly Myers at 24:10, and Stephanie Rodriguez at 25:47.

Southwestern will head to the SCAC Championships on October 30th for the next meet, held in Seguin, TX.
