GEORGETOWN, Texas – Abraham Devenport led Southwestern to a third-place finish at the Southwestern Invitational on Friday evening at Berry Springs Park.
Devenport raced around the 5,000-meter circuit in a time of 18:07.4. He was followed by Lucas Ford, who finished 13th overall with a time of 18:40.3.
Austin Morrison was the third-fastest runner for the Pirates with a time of 19:29.1, which was good enough for 20th place.
St. Edward's captured the team title, while Concordia Texas' Dylan Zoch was the top individual finisher with a time of 17:03.6.
Southwestern will return to action in two weeks at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships, which are slated to take place in Sherman.
