GEORGETOWN, Texas. - Southwestern men's cross country was led by Joshua Im and John Hattan who finished 3rd and 4th, in  Southwestern opening meet, early Saturday morning.

Im finished the course in 16:52.73 with a 5:25.9 average mile while Hattan, who was not far behind ran the course in 16:58.64 with a 5:27.8 average mile. 17:36.11. Not far behind, other Southwestern runners such as C.P. Shaulis (17:49.6), Nathan Botros (17:53.7), Miles Griffin (18:02.0) and Will Lord (18:17.8 16) were in the top 20 runners who finished the race.

The men's team averaged a 17:31 time and with a score of 40 that let them grab second in the team result. close in times and points St. Thomas won first in team results and snagged the first, Alex De La Maza and second place Michael Skinner in men's individuals. 

Southwestern travels for there next meet at Our Lady of the Lake Collegiate Invitational next Saturday, September 8th.
