Pirates Show Strong in Multi-Divisional Meet

The Pirates placed two runners in the top 15 in a meet that included DII, DIII, and Junior College teams. Paden Williams earned top honors for the Pirates with a time of 28:31.8 earning him ninth place.  Sam Martinez earned a 13th place finish overall with a time of 28:54.9.  Stephen Fuentes also turned in a strong showing with a time of 29:57.4 and a 31st place finish.  Caleb Ruckel finished 49th with a time of 32:22.1, Philip Davis placed 65th with a time of 33:31.9, and John Cooper placed 85th with a time of 35:20.2.  

Texas A&M Kingsville earned the overall victory on the meet.  Trinity University was the only Divison III team to finish ahead of Southwestern.  The Pirates will return to competition October 15 at the Concordia University Invitation in Cedar Park, TX.
