2010
Freeland was the highest finisher for Southwestern at the South/Southeast Regional Championships, coming in 32nd place in a time of 26:36 to earn his first-ever All-Region selection. He finished in 28th place at the SCAC Championships with a personal best time of 26:31. Freeland was a USTFCCCA Division III All-Academic Cross Country Team selection and a member of the SCAC Fall 2010 Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll.
2009
Zach competed in 5 meets with the Pirates during his sophomore year. He finished 47th at the South/Southeast Regional Championships with a time of 29:05.

Finished in 95th place at the South/Southeast Regional in a personal best time of 28:32.4.
High School
A 2008 graduate of Hebron High School, Zach was an Academic All-American, a regional qualifier, and the Hebron High School cross country MVP.
Personal
Zach is the son of King and Charlotte and has two siblings, Lauren and Ryan. Zach is a Biology major and a Chemistry minor at SU.
