GEORGETOWN, Texas – Southwestern University junior defensive end Justin Broussard was named to D3football.com's Team of the Week, the online publication announced on Tuesday.

Broussard, who also was tabbed Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week a day earlier, helped the Pirates to a 7-6 win last Saturday at McMurry. The 6-foot-1, 235-pounder racked up nine tackles, including five for loss, three sacks and forced a fumble.

Broussard and the rest of the SU squad will host East Texas Baptist on Saturday. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. at Georgetown ISD's Birkelbach Field.
