2007-2008 (First Year)
Cross Country: As the Pirates' Newcomer of the Year, James was a top-5 finisher for the team all six meets. Her highest finish was at the Rhodes Invitational where she placed 47th out of 137 runners and ran the 5k course in 21:29. At the SCAC Championships, James ran a personal best 6k by crossing the finish line in 25:50.30 and placing 53rd in a field of 93.

High School
James graduated Magma Cum Laude and as a National Merit Commended student. She garnered academic all-district honors for swimming and placed 11th at Regionals in the 500 free in 2003-2004. In the 2006 cross country season, she earned all-district honors and competed at Regionals.

Personal

Ursula is the daughter of Brad and Kay James and has two sisters, Molly and Miranda. She is an anthropology major with a minor in french.
