Robert M. "Bobby" Deaton was an outstanding student and basketball player at Midway High School in Waco, Texas. He was a four year letterman in basketball at Southwestern University, 1983-1986. He earned multiple honors during his career which included: started every game of his career, broke the University's all-time rebounding and scoring records in men's basketball, and led the Pirates to the NAIA play-offs all four years of his career. Bobby Deaton became the first player from Southwestern University to be named to the NAIA First Team All America in men's basketball. Deaton was drafted by the Milwaukee Bucks in June of 1986. He earned a BBA degree in Business upon graduation form Southwestern in 1986.
