2008-2009 (Senior Year)
Was the highest Pirate finisher at the South/Southeast Regional coming in 82nd place with a time of 28:10.4...Chi Alpha Sigma recipient.

2007-2008 (Junior Year)
Cross Country: As a team captain, Sloan was a top-2 finisher among the team in all six meets in which the Pirates competed. His best overall finish was the Texas Lutheran Invitational where he placed 17th of 81 finishers with an 8k time of 28:37.7. Sloan was the first Pirate to cross the finish line at the SCAC Championships at Southwestern University where he ran a season best 8k in 28:29.50 and placed 39th in the field of 87.

2006-2007 (Sophomore Year)
Cross Country: Sloan competed in four meets for the Pirates, and was a top-3 finisher for the team in all of them. At the SU Short Course, he placed 6th of 54 competitors, posting a time of 20:15.5 in the 6k race. Sloan ran a season-best 8k of 28:14.94 at the NCAA DIII Pre-Nationals, and placed 135th in a field of 210 runners.

2005-2006 (First Year)
Cross Country: Sloan was a top-3 finisher on the team in all six meets in which the Pirates competed. At the Rice Invitational, he was the first Pirate to cross the finish line and placed 36th out of 70 runners with a time of 19:25.18 for the 6k race. His highest overall finish was at the Texas Lutheran Invitational where he placed 7th in a field of 51 and covered the 8k course in 27:54.00. Sloan ran a personal best 8k at the SCAC Championships in Conway, AR with a time of 26:44.50 and placing 36th out of 94. Track: Sloan competed in three meets for the Pirates. His best 5k finish was at the Trinity Invitational where he ran 16:41.75 and placed 6th of 14. His best 10k finish was at the Tarleton Relays where he ran 36:30.00 and placed 10th of 14.

High School
Sloan graduated as Salutatorian and a National Merit Scholar. His high school bests are 16:24 for the 5k, 10:07 for the 2 mile, and 4:47 in the 1 mile. In 2003 and 2004, Sloan earned both All-Region and Academic All-Region honors. In 2004, he was the Individual Region Cross Country Champion. His team was State Champions in 2002 and State Runner-up in 2003.
