2007-2008 (Sophomore Year)
Cross Country: Schaefer competed in four meets for the Pirates. He ran a season best 8k at the SCAC Championships hosted by Southwestern University in a time of 33:37.95, placing 83rd out of 87 runners.

2006-2007 (First Year)
Cross Country: Schaefer competed in seven meets for the Pirates, including three top-5 finish for the team. His highest overall finish was the SU short course where he placed 38th of 54 competitors. He ran the 6k course in 23:29.8. At the Texas Lutheran Invitational, he ran a personal best 8k of 32:23 and placed 59th in a field of 74.

High School
Schaefer is a 2006 graduate of Klein where he was a member of the Bearkat cross country and track teams.

Personal
Brian is the son of Mark and Kathy Schaefer. He has one sibling, Sarah and is majoring in Accounting at Southwestern.
