GEORGETOWN, TEXAS- Women's basketball (2-13,1-4 SCAC), traveled to play the University of St. Thomas Celts (4-8,2-2 SCAC) on Friday, January 5, 2024 in the Jerabeck Activity and Athletic Center in Houston, TX. The Pirates were able to keep control of the game and earned the win on the road, 54-49.

HIGHLIGHTS:

• On 5/7 shooting from the field, Trinity Benitez scored 14 points and had 9 rebounds. 

• Aniyah Burke grabbed 8 rebounds, had 7 assists, and finished with 21 points. 

• On top of 7 points, Ellie Ward earned 3 steals and grabbed 6 boards. 

NOTES:

• The Pirates outscored the Celts 34-12 for points in the paint

• The Pirates outrebounded the Celts, 36-32

• Aniyah Burke scored 10 of the Pirate's 13 points in the 4th quarter
