Centenary wasted no time taking control of the game as Clakley hit a bomb down the right line that drifted just over the foul pole for a two-run home run and added four runs in the second and two in the third.

In the fifth inning the Gents added two runs, one on an RBI bunt single by Stephenson and scoring on a throw down to second. One more run on a solo homerun by Littleman in the sixth pushed the lead to 11, 11-0. The Gents went on a final run, scoring three in the seventh before closing the game out on the defensive side for the 14-0 win.

Centenary’s defense was as sharp as ever, headed up by Arcement on the mound who threw a complete game shutout. Arcement scattered three hits while striking out four and walking one.

Clakley led at the plate on the evening, going 3-5 with four RBIs.

With the win Centenary advances to the championship game to face Trinity. Game time is set for noon.
