Women's Tennis Posts Four on CSC Academic All-District List

GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - The Southwestern University Women's Tennis team earned four College Sports Communicators Academic All-District awards this week. Senior Sydney Wahl, junior Erika Synoski, and sophomores Daryl Locke and Kimberly Duncan were the four athletes who earned the title of Academic All-District for their performance on the court and in the classroom. 

"The 2024 Academic All-District® Women's Tennis teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes tennis honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA."

To qualify for CSC Academic All-District, an athlete must have these qualifications:


Academic standing:

  • Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically.
  • Institutions may only nominate four athletes for CSC Academic All-District Awards in Tennis.

Academic eligibility:

  • An undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale).
  • The cumulative grade point average may not be rounded up to 3.50.

Athletic eligibility

  • M/W Tennis: Eligible nominees need to be in the lineup for 70% of the total matches played by the team that includes team scores.
