Mitrofanova and Lee Ranked 10th in Region; Lee 14th in Singles, Kesterson 18th

GEORGETOWN, Texas - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association ("ITA") has released the NCAA Division III Women's ITA Collegiate Tennis National and Regional Rankings for November 17, 2022.

National Rankings include the Top 50 singles players and Top 25 doubles teams, while the Regional Rankings include the Top 20 singles players and Top 10 doubles teams.

The women's doubles team of Nina Mitrofanova (Sr.) and Lydia Lee (So.) earned the number 10 spot in the west region thanks to their semifinal finish in the ITA Division III Women's Southwest Regional Championship, with their competitors going on the win the championship. In the singles regional rankings, Lydia Lee has been ranked 14th in the West region. In the southwest regional championship singles draw, Lee advanced to the semifinals after defeating her teammate, Emma Kesterson. The bracket saw five Pirate players advance to the quarterfinals, and Lee was the lone Pirate to make it to the semifinal round. To round out the top 20 West Region singles rankings, Emma Kesterson (Sr.) secured the 18th spot on the list. Kesterson again was one of the five Southwestern players to advance to the quarterfinals in an overall dominant performance of the Southwest Regional Championship by the Pirate team. 

The women's team returns to action when they host Austin College on Friday, February 10th at 5:00 PM.
