The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) announced its Women's Tennis All-Tournament Team, naming three singles players and two doubles teams from the champion Southwestern University Pirates. 

Nina Mitrofanova and Mariana Quetzeri teamed up for the first time in the SCAC semifinals. The new pairing went a perfect 2-0 at No. 2 doubles, defeating Schreiner's Blair Villarreal and Katelyn Ruiz, then besting Trinity's Mary Kaffen and Zoe Kaffen in the final. 

Alli Ziehm and Emma Kesterson also won both matches in the tournament from No. 3 doubles. The duo topped Schreiners Lindsey Reynolds and Rachel Rompel, then bested Trinity's Ellie Hughes and Annie Wise to finish the season 4-0. 

Kesterson won both of her matches at No. 3 singles, scoring a win over Blair Villarreal in the semifinals and showing up in the clutch for the Pirates in the championship, defeating Megan Flores in three sets to break a 4-4 tie and clinch Southwestern's first conference championship.

Sydney Wahl had a perfect 6-0, 6-0 win over Schreiner's Rompel at No. 4 singles, then defeated Trinity's Elodie Richard to remain undefeated at 14-0 this season. Ziehm defeated Trinity's Paulina Garcia to earn her All-Tournament honors. 

The top-ranked team in the West Region, Southwestern University, captured its first Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Championship in a hotly contested 5-4 match Sunday over Trinity University at the Butch Newman Tennis Center.

The Pirates improved to 15-4 overall and 14-0 against NCAA Division III opponents. Southwestern, ranked No. 1 in the NCAA West Region, played in its fifth consecutive SCAC final.

*Any player (or doubles team) who goes through the conference tournament undefeated is automatically named to the all-tournament team. If no one player or team goes undefeated using the above criteria, then the next best record at that position will be named to the all-tournament team. Coaches may also nominate a player for the all-tournament team.
