
GEORGETOWN, Texas - The No. 39 Southwestern women's tennis team fought off a scrappy Wisconsin-Eau Claire squad for a 7-2 victory Tuesday night at the Marvin D. Henderson Sr. Tennis Courts.
The Pirates (10-1) won their 10th consecutive match after sweeping all three doubles tilts and four of six singles matchups.
Mary Cardone and Anna Schneemann captured straight-sets wins at Nos. 2 and 3 singles, respectively. Stephanie Bartusov and Emilie Moeller outlast their respective opponents in three sets to help SU's cause.
The Pirates will host Texas-Tyler at 5 p.m. Friday.
