Women's Golf In Sixth After First Day of Schreiner Shootout

KERRVILLE, Texas — The Southwestern women's golf team sits in sixth place after the first day of the Schreiner Spring Shootout at Comanche Trace golf course. The Pirates shot a collective 342, finishing the day at 54 over par. 

Madison Goldberg paced the Pirates with a score of 79, good for a three-way tie in seventh place at seven over par. Linsey Garza shot an 85 and is currently tied for 19th. Ryleigh Erickson scored an 87 and is tied for 25th, rounding out the Pirates in the top 25. Sarah Lucido and Katherin Montgomery each shot a 91, tied for 34th. 

The University of Texas at Dallas and the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor are tied for first with a score of 320. Trinity University follows in third at 332. St. Thomas scored a 335 and is fourth, and Hardin-Simmons University is in fifth with a shot of 340.
