Women's golf in sixth after Round 1 at DIII National Spring Preview

HOUSTON, Texas - Southwestern had a strong first round at Bay Oaks with a 334 team score at the Division III National Spring Preview. 

Bernice Leonard led the charge with an opening round 79 to finish tied for seventh. Keeley Coburn was close behind with an 81 and tied for tenth. 

Mikayla Miller posted an 84 to finish tied for 22nd. Valentina Olivieri shot a 90 and Katherine Dyo a 93. 

UT Tyler leads the field with a 304 and Amy Cox is leading the individual field at one over par 73. 

The Pirates will close out the tournament on Tuesday.
