2009 Season
Finished in sixth place in the 100 meter dash (13.56) and 100
meter hurdles (16.59), ninth in the long jump (4.82m), and 11th in
the triple jump (10.07m) at the SCAC Championships.
High School
Tharps was an Academic All-District pick for four years, was a
First Team All-District selection in her senior season and was a
two time Honorable Mention pick for basketball.
Personal
Nekia is the daughter of Eric and Shantel Tharps...born on
September 12, 1989...has three siblings - Nathanael, Nehemiah and
Nichole...is an Education major with a Biology minor and is a
member of the women's basketball team at SU.
