GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - The Men's and Women's swimming and diving teams continued with Day 2 of the SCAC Championships in Garland, Texas. The championship event is scheduled for February 14-17, with morning and evening prelims and finals. More information on the SCAC Swimming and Diving Championships can be found HERE.
HIGHLIGHTS:
- Elizabeth Krajca fought hard for an 8th-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:21.16.
- Zach Kangieser finished in 5th-place in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:39.57.
- Ellie Samples took 6th in the 200-yard IM in 2:11.28.
- Jorge Mendiola earned 4th overall in the 200-yard IM in 1:53.71.
- Emma Williams took home 7th-place in the 50-yard freestyle in 24.48.
- Ellie Samples, Antonia Leese, Ella Bonvillian, and Emma Williams placed 2nd overall in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 3:53.50, breaking another school record!
- Owen Rodrigue, Jorge Mendiola, Marc Galindo, and Eli Allen brought home a 3rd-place finish in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 3:27.81.
