Southwestern Athletics Announces 2024 Hall of Fame Inductees

GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - Southwestern University Athletics is pleased to announce the Hall of Fame Class of 2024 inductees. The class of 2024 will include two former Pirates athletes and one former coach. 

The purpose of the Southwestern University Athletic Hall of Fame is to honor the people who have made significant contributions in the field of athletics at Southwestern University. 

As athletes, associates, students, coaches, and administrators, these persons will have had outstanding careers and have served as ambassadors for the ideals of intercollegiate athletics and the high standards of Southwestern University. Inductees will have attained success of a stature worthy of being recognized as some of the finest contributors to the Southwestern athletic tradition and as persons whose athletic careers extended to the highest levels that were appropriate for the sport and the time period.

The following individuals will be inducted into the class of 2024:

Derek Kempf '88 - Baseball

 

Samantha Lingamfelter '10 - Volleyball

 

Head Coach Hannah Long - Volleyball 2004 - 2016

 

The Hall of Fame Ceremony Luncheon will take place on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024 at 12:00 PM in the McCombs Ballroom on the second floor of the Red and Charline McCombs Campus Center. Tickets to the event can be purchased here.
