LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Southwestern University first-year Mary Cardone was named Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Cardone helped the Pirates to a 3-0 record last week. The San Antonio native collected a total of six victories in the three matches. She teamed up with Anna Schneemann for a 3-0 mark at No. 1 doubles. Cardone also netted two wins at the second singles spot and one at the top position.
