Women’s tennis boasts nationally-ranked recruiting class for second straight year

GEORGETOWN, Texas – For the second straight year, the Southwestern University women's tennis program has a nationally-recognized recruiting class, as head coach Billy Porter's incoming student-athletes combined to earn a No. 21 rating, according to TennisRecruiting.net.

The Pirates were one of only two Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) programs to be listed in the top-25 rankings.

Under the direction of Porter, Southwestern completed the 2015-16 campaign with a 21-5 record and a trip to its first-ever SCAC Championship Match. Porter also was named SCAC Coach of the Year.
