LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Southwestern University sophomore Maranda Kahl was named Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.

Kahl registered six victories in the past week for the Pirates.

She teamed up with Nicole Wilson to post a 4-0 record in doubles play. The duo also pushed their doubles win streak to 14 matches.

Meanwhile, the Sherman native also tallied a 2-0 mark in singles action with a pair of 6-0, 6-0 triumphs. Kahl has won 11 consecutive singles matches.

Karl and the rest of the Southwestern squad will head to the SCAC Championships this weekend, which will take play in Kerrville.
