The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) announced its Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll today for the 2015 spring term and 99 Southwestern student-athletes made the list.
Southwestern opened the 2015 SCAC Women’s Tennis Championship as the #5 seed and were narrowly defeated by Texas Lutheran University 5-1 in the first round Friday.
Southwestern tennis continued their strong play despite limited practice opportunities due to the weather and defeated Austin College 9-0 on the men’s side and 6-3 on the women’s side on Saturday morning.

After an undefeated home weekend, Julie Swets was named the SCAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played between February 16th through February 22nd.
A tough Saturday lineup was no match for the even stronger Pirates as Southwestern swept home matches, defeating University of the Southwest 7-2 and Mary Hardin-Baylor 8-1.
Southwestern women opened their spring dual match season in Kerrville, facing Schreiner University in the morning and Sul Ross State University in the afternoon. SU fell to Schreiner 5-4 before rebounding with an easy 9-0 win over the Lobos.

SAN ANTONIO – An all Southwestern final Sunday highlighted the weekend for the Pirate women’s tennis teams as the tandem of Julie Swets and Emilie Moeller knocked off Virginia Stofer and Nicole Wilson to win the B Draw Doubles Championship at the ITA Southwest Regional.
