SUWANEE, Ga. - Sophomore transfer Victoria DeLeon was named as one of the top ten SCAC women's tennis players, earning 27 votes in exclusive voting by conference head coaches.

DeLeon, a Georgetown, Texas native, took on the top opponents all season by playing in the #1 slot in her first season at Southwestern. She won five of her first six matches to open the year and ended with a 9-8 overall singles record. DeLeon played opponents tough, often times going three sets in the matches she did lose.

Southwestern closed out the season at the SCAC Championships and finished in sixth place. They won their opening round match to Millsaps, rectifying a loss earlier in the season, before falling to Sewanee. SU defeated Centre in their first game in the loser's bracket and then fell in the fifth place match to Colorado College.
