Women's Golf Ties for Second at Lady Bulldog Invitational - Panter Ties for Third

Seguin, Texas - The Southwestern women's golf team began their fall season this week at Starke Park Golf Course in Seguin, Texas. The Lady Bulldog Invitational, hosted by Texas Lutheran University, had a strong field this week and the Pirates faced the challenge well. The Pirates shot a low score of 600 over the two rounds placing them tied for 2nd place to finish the tournament and breaking the two-round record total. 

During round one of the event, Rachel Harris led the Pirates shooting a 4-over 75 while Sydney Jackson (76), Ryleigh Erickson (77) and Sloane Panter (77) rounded out the team score for the day. The 305 total placed the Pirates in 4th place following day one, only four shots behind 3rd place. 

Round two of the Lady Bulldog Invitational brought low scores for the Pirates as Sloane Panter led the Pirates with an impressive two-under 69 to finish tied for 3rd individually and breaking the single round and two round record totals with her 77-69 two day score. Ryleigh Erickson (72) and Rachel Harris (73) also posted great rounds on the second day to lead the team to a round two total of 295 and a tied for 2nd place team finish.

The Pirates will compete again on September 24-25 in Montgomery, Alabama at the Montgomery Women's Intercollegiate.
